How LazyUncle Works

Step 1: Add the people you shop for

Open LazyUncle and add a profile for each person you give gifts to — your niece, your dad, your best friend, whoever. For each person you'll fill in:

• Name and birthday — so we always know how old they're turning
• Relationship — niece, nephew, parent, partner, friend, etc.
• Interests and hobbies — Lego, soccer, baking, woodworking, video games — anything that helps the AI think like a thoughtful friend
• A short description — quirks, recent obsessions, things they already own

You can add as many people as you want. There's no limit and no upcharge for "premium" recipients.

Step 2: Set up birthdays, holidays, and custom occasions

For each person, add the occasions you want to be reminded about. Birthdays auto-populate from their date of birth. Add holidays — Christmas, Hanukkah, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day — or make up your own custom occasion (a half-birthday, an adoption anniversary, a "first day of school" gift). Set a budget per occasion so suggestions stay in your range.

Example: You add your 8-year-old niece Hannah. LazyUncle automatically schedules her birthday and gives you the option to add Christmas, Hanukkah, or any other holiday you celebrate together.

Step 3: Get AI gift suggestions, before you need them

The moment you save an occasion, the AI generates real, specific gift ideas based on the recipient's age, interests, your budget, and your past picks. You'll see the suggestions in the app right away, and we'll email you a fresh batch a few weeks before the date so you have time to order and ship.

Each suggestion is a real product — not "something educational" but a specific science kit, book, or game with a price and a buy link. Thumbs up the ones you like, thumbs down the ones that miss; the AI uses that feedback to refine next year's picks.

Step 4: Pick, click, and ship

When you find a gift you like, click the Amazon link and check out. We track what you picked so we don't suggest the same thing twice and so the AI gets smarter with every birthday.
